After the Detroit Riot in 1967, I started thinking of integration
cartoons as a series. I checked the gags with some of my black and white friends, including Dick Gregory, the popular black
comedian. When I finally completed twenty cartoons, I saw Frank Angelo, managing editor of The Detroit Free Press. He looked
them over and said he would try it out for a few months. Under the title of "FILET OF SOUL" the feature ran for a year
(1969-1970) in the Sunday "Detroit" section with reader approval.

What
do you mean, 'Guilty'?
